Representative Work Experience

Senior Lean Manager

Managed and provided Lean Transformation consulting for various organizations in industries like healthcare, manufacturing, financial services and IT.  Managed and coached Lean facilitators to conduct Gemba Walks; Managing for Daily Improvements (MDI) and Leader Standard Work.  Led multiple Value Stream Analysis (VSA) and Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) in various organizations which included improvements ranging from staff utilization, inventory optimization, facilities design, root cause analysis and pre-launch process/ facility design which resulted in savings of over 12+MM in operations and supply chain costs.
Led improvement events in the Supply Chain & Revenue Cycle departments of various hospitals resulting in over $ 7MM in savings in claims reimbursements, material storage and logistic costs.

VP / Project Manager

Managed multiple projects for improvement of various processes like Payments; Unclaimed Property; Mortgage Loans processing; User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and cross department document sharing.  Recipient of 2012 ICON award for managing a ‘Best Practice Project’ that led to improved customer experience, better governance of a process owned by multiple lines of businesses and reduction of escheatment of unclaimed funds to the  states by over 20% year over year.  Facilitated Kaizen events to optimize end-to-end processes, Root Cause Analysis workshops with the process owners and business managers for various lines of businesses. 

Supplier Development Leader

Responsible for supporting various Supply Chain Units to perform ‘Risk assessment’ and ‘Manufacturing Capability Analysis’ of potential new both domestic and international suppliers.  Responsible for supporting and training domestic and international suppliers in improving their quality, delivery & costs; Rolls Royce’s processes and requirements; Scorecard performance and improvement management.  Facilitated improvement workshops and managed improvement charters for poor performing suppliers that resulted in over $1.2 MM savings in quality and delivery costs.

Industrial Engineer

Implemented savings of over $1.3 MM in labor and raw material cost by improving the production efficiency and performing root cause analysis of the scrap and rework.  Managed the installation of a new high-speed pie production line including performing the layout and resource planning for it.  Managed the consolidation of 2 plants which included relocation of equipment to startup of the new facility which resulted in over $3MM in annual savings in labor, inventory and space utilization.  Supported the implementation a new bar coding system to increase efficiencies and conducted Change management process related to implementation of new technology.   Developed layouts to optimize the flow of 35 feet long fuselage skins through the various manufacturing departments.  Performed capacity analysis for the usage of trucks and improved their utilization by optimizing the delivery, pickup schedule and routing.  Developed production plans to assist in the Supply Chain planning process for the launch of the 747-8 airplane skins.   Managed Continuous Improvement department which included 2 six sigma black belts and 2 hourly lean facilitators.  Performed operational efficiency analysis and developed strategy to achieve a savings of $2.9 MM at the manufacturing facility which was about 5% of the annual turnover that facility.  Implemented Lean Six Sigma projects and facilitated Lean Workshops to train and implement lean tools which resulted in more than $2.5MM in labor and material savings.  Designed an automatic material handling system which resulted in savings of $500,000 annually in labor and space utilization.   Managed Lean team whose duties were to conduct improvement workshops (Kaizen), update work instructions and pre & post event data collection and analysis.  Responsible for completing and updating the APQP and PPAP for various product lines.  Implemented internal and external Kanban systems for various lines which resulted in reduction of raw material inventory from one week to 2 days and reduced scheduling complexities.
