Kurt's proven track record of accomplishment spans across 35 years and multiple industries, including: Coils, Materials, Composites, and various others.  His ability to deliver change spans from the plant floor to the executive level.  His consistent Industrial Engineering principles have guided him consistently across all turn-arounds.
 

Representative Work Experience


Engineering & Start-up

Led a coalition of customers in forming a new company with coils product lines.
Assisted customers in the purchase of equipment, engineering files, fixtures and materials.
Procured and refit a production facility to provide coils to the customers.
• Hired and trained employees; including production, maintenance and management levels.
Led the new team from start up through normalization of operations.

Coils 
Co-led a manufacturing facility that produced ignition coils utilized in the electrical system of high performance automobiles and in the stationary industrial engine market.
Implemented Lean Manufacturing processes to improve the flow and productivity of the operation.
Led acquisition of a competitor, discontinued its operations and merged the business into existing facility.
Engineered new technologies allowing for optimal SKU rationalization


Turn-around

Led client manufacturing facilities through the lean manufacturing transformation with the intent of allowing their materials, product, people and information to flow smoothly from the receiving door to the shipping dock.

Metals

Increased sales from 14MM to 52 MM.  Increased EBITDA from 1.5MM to 6.3MM.
Led acquisition of a small stamping operation which added to sales and EBITDA
Opened a plant in New Mexico. 
By implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques, total employee costs were reduced 33% in 24 mos.


Composites

Grew profit from 1MM to 2.5MM while Sales increased from 15MM to 17MM.
Developed a green-field plant to supply biscuit dough cans to the major biscuit dough company in the industry.
